The purpose of these general conditions (hereinafter the “General Conditions”) is to set out the conditions for accessing, using and operating the Economic Research Portal (Site at https://economic-research.bnpparibas.com )applicable to any user accessing it (hereinafter the “User”), excluding any other conditions with the exception of those specifically mentioned in these General Conditions.
The purpose of the Site is to offer all the publications of the Economic Research function of BNP Paribas SA.
In the event of amendment of the General Conditions, BNP Paribas SA will indicate on the Site the date on which they will be updated.
ARTICLE 1 SITE ACCESS/AVAILABILITY
The User of the Site acknowledges that he/she has the necessary skill and resources to access and use the Site. The User is reminded that the confidentiality of communications cannot be guaranteed on the internet and that he/she must take appropriate steps to protect his/her own data and technical environment (particularly computers, software, network equipment and any other hardware used to access or use the service and/or the information provided).
BNP Paribas SA therefore disclaims any liability in the event of direct or indirect damage associated with the use of documents or information appearing on the Site. The User is also reminded that fraudulently accessing or remaining connected to an IT system, blocking or interfering with the functioning of such a system, or fraudulently entering or altering data in such a system, are criminal offences subject to the penalties provided by law.
BNP Paribas SA will use its best endeavours to maintain the Site at a reasonable level of functionality and availability. BNP Paribas SA reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to limit the User’s access to the Site and his/her use of the Site, in order to carry out maintenance operations or modifications. BNP Paribas SA cannot be held liable if access is interrupted due to such maintenance or updating operations.
BNP Paribas SA cannot be held liable for any network or server malfunction or for any other incident outside its reasonable control that might prevent or impair access to the Site.
BNP Paribas SA shall not be liable for malfunctions attributable to internet service providers, or for content hosted by third parties in the context of provision of the Site.
ARTICLE 2 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
BNP Paribas SA’s brands, logos, graphics, photographs, animations, videos, scripts and text published on the Site and the Site’s structure itself are the property of BNP Paribas SA or are licensed by third parties. Such content is protected by copyright, trademark rights and other intellectual property or associated rights held by BNP Paribas SA or its licensors, and cannot be reproduced, used or represented without the express permission of BNP Paribas SA or its licensors. Any infringements will result in legal action.
In particular, the User undertakes not to alter, copy, reproduce, download, broadcast, transmit, commercially exploit and/or distribute the content of the Site or any of its constituent elements in any way whatever with the prior written permission of BNP Paribas SA, decided on a case by case basis.
The User undertakes not to damage or attempt to damage the Site in any way whatever and not to use software or any form of computer programme whose purpose is to obtain or make available any protected content, to make the Site unavailable, to disassemble or decompile the Site or any part of the Site, or to carry out any reverse engineering operation, save as expressly authorised by the applicable regulations.
ARTICLE 3 HYPERTEXT LINKS AND THIRD-PARTY CONTENT
Hypertext links found on the Site may point to third-party sites not published by BNP Paribas SA. These links are provided solely for the purpose of facilitating the use of resources available on the internet. If the User uses these links, he/she will leave the Site and therefore agrees to use these third-party sites at his/her own risk, or, if applicable, in accordance with the conditions governing those sites.
BNP Paribas SA cannot be held liable in any way whatever in connection with these hypertext links.

ARTICLE 5 APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These General Conditions shall be governed, interpreted and applied in accordance with French law.
In the absence of an amicable settlement, any dispute will be expressly subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts.
